Keens Kernels story

Hi! My name is Elyssa and I am the founder of Keens Kernels.

This all started one night when I was on the phone to my dad, snacking on a bag of popcorn, and the idea came to me.

Popcorn is my favourite snack, however, I would often find that any flavoured popcorn was full of added sugars or preservatives. Even most artisan popcorns were the same.

So, I developed Keens Kernels to solve this. Speciality, quality, natural popcorn with unique flavours for everyone. I prioritise quality ingredients in my popcorn, and value my handcrafted recipes and flavours. It is not a surprise to find that Keens Kernels speciality popcorn has options made with homemade white chocolate, oat clusters, and toffee syrups to replicate the indulgent desserts we all love...but healthier.

Not only in my product, but in the entire business I carry this same principle; the value handcrafting. To the right is Poppy, my brand ambassador, that I hand drew and designed to add some fun and whimsy to my brand. My recipes, my social media content, my photos, all my signage, my logo and packaging is all made by me; importantly, it is human made, owned, developed and managed.

Lastly, I wanted to address my family, friends and support in my life for making this possible. Thank you to those who enjoy my popcorn, because I love making it, and to those who support my business. You have all made this possible.
